Casino Buffets Reopen

With the recent emergence of COVID-19, a deadly disease, many Southern California casinos have cut back on their food offerings. This includes closing down popular casino buffets. But this summer, many are opening back up. Some casinos have already announced the return of their buffets, while others are just starting to reopen.

In addition to reopening their buffets, Hard Rock AC has announced that its casino buffet will reopen in April 2020. The buffet will be a new concept called Seven Kitchens. The casino has contacted other casinos in the area to see if they plan to add indoor seating.

While the COVID-19 outbreak has led to the closure of more than 500 buffets across the country, some Mississippi casinos continue to operate their casino buffets. These include the Treasure Bay Casino in Biloxi, the Island View Casino, and the Hollywood Casino. The Beau Rivage, an MGM Resorts property, also has a buffet. Its executives say COVID-19 forced them to revamp their buffet operations and have instituted a reservation system to avoid excess food.

In addition to Morongo Canyon Buffet, another casino is reopening the Serrano Buffet. Its hours were previously expanded and the café will now serve breakfast and lunch. The new hours will also include Saturday and Sunday, when the Serrano Buffet will be open from 4-10 p.m. The restaurant’s previous hours will expire by mid-March 2020.
